CERN CLOUD chamber
The CLOUD project is studying whether cosmic rays play a role in cloud formation.
This experiment at CERN, Europe’s high-energy physics laboratory near Geneva, Switzerland, last year found tentative evidence for just that. The researchers hope eventually to generate artificial clouds for study. (CERN high-res images & more here)
